Passion projects have always held a special place in my heart, so when an incredible young creative team approached me to collaborate, I eagerly seized the opportunity. Amy Bland and Sacha Burke, an art director and copywriter duo, had reached out to Mark Williams, the visionary behind the company Limb-art, with an idea to expand the current range of his prosthetic limb covers to cater to more women. The challenge was set, and together we embarked on an exciting journey.
With a commitment to the brand's ethos of "Stand Out. Stand Proud," we set out to create a collection of contemporary designs that would resonate with female prosthetic users. Our aim was to provide options that aligned with current fashion trends, empowering these remarkable women to express themselves confidently. We released the 4 final designs on social, to ask real users for feedback and to vote on their favourites. This resulted in the biggest social engagement the brand has ever had.
The success of this collaborative effort not only bolstered the brand's connection with its users but also brought attention to the importance of inclusivity and representation. The positive impact on the prosthetic community was immeasurable, fostering a sense of pride and self-assurance among individuals who often felt overlooked.
